Medical Gas Alarm Systems

The medical gas alarm systems supplied by STM are medical devices specifically designed for the monitoring and signalling of faults and abnormal conditions within medical gas pipeline systems (MGPS).
These medical gas alarms ensure continuous and reliable monitoring of medical gases, enabling prompt intervention in the event of pressure variations, loss of gas supply or non-compliant operating conditions.

The alarm modules comply with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and Directive 2007/47/EC, and are classified as Class IIb medical devices in accordance with Annex IX, Rule 9.
In addition, they meet the requirements of EN 7396-1, the reference standard for the safety and management of medical gas distribution systems.

To ensure maximum operational effectiveness, each medical gas alarm panel must be installed both in close proximity to the monitored equipment and in a permanently attended location, such as control stations or supervision areas. This configuration allows immediate alarm indication and timely corrective action.

Depending on system requirements, alarm systems can be configured in analogue or digital versions, according to the installed measuring device, such as pressure switches or pressure transducers.
The systems are available with 24 V or 220 V power supply and with LED or touchscreen user interfaces, allowing adaptation to different clinical environments and levels of supervision.
